The second edition of the Young Collectors Contemporary Art Fair returns to Memphis, TN on March 24th through March 26th 2017. Young Collectors will kick off its Art Weekend with an invite only preview night followed by an OPENING NIGHT PARTY on Friday, March 24 and will close on Sunday, March 26. The fair has grown to occupy the Clayborn Reborn Revitalization Project, the first visual art event held in the historic building.
The second edition of the Young Collectors Contemporary Art Fair will feature over 20 emerging artists from around the United States. It also unveils new engaging programs. CONVERSATIONS provides a platform to explore concepts on art collecting and visual art. CONVERSATIONS features Marina Pacini, Chief Curator, Curator American, Modern, and Contemporary Art at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art; art activism group The CLTV, and dialogue with musician Aaron James.
It also premiers the 2017 EMERGING CURATOR sector, a highly anticipated addition to the Memphis art fair featuring a curated space by an independent or institutional curator under 40 years old. This year’s fair presents Rachel M. Miller, from Wildwood Park for the Arts (Little Rock, Arkansas).
Returning as the musical curators for the OPENING NIGHT PARTY is Future-Everything, a Memphis based multimedia label and lifestyle brand.
Young Collectors has also partnered with Memphis Symphony Orchestra for the CLOSING NIGHT PARTY.

Young Collectors Contemporary Art Fair is Memphis's artist-centric art fair showcasing the freshest art and design from Memphis and around the United States. The fair believes in creating a collecting community as a way of investing into the arts and the exposure of the works of emerging artists. Participants are selected through vetted applications and an open call process.
All artworks in the show are displayed and available for purchase at the fair and online, giving artists unknown, emerging, mid-career, and beyond a virtual exposure to the exhibition. The 2017 Young Collectors Contemporary Art Fair is accompanied by both social and educational programming including lectures, panels discussions, and talks with artists and art professionals.
MEET THE ORGANIZERS
Young Collectors Contemporary was founded in 2016 as part of the annual arts programming for Young Arts Patrons. The philanthropic organization organizes, curates, facilitates, and produces events with creatives, arts institutions, and arts organizations including The Brooks Museum, Ballet Memphis, The Metal Museum, Opera Memphis, IRIS Orchestra, Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and more. The goal of the Young Collectors Contemporary program is to support the sustainability of the contemporary visual arts by providing a marketplace for emerging artists and collectors.
